Make money writing an ebook?
Jul 13th
So this post is to follow on from my last one in which I talked about how you could make money by creating content for other people. This still requires that you know how to write but it also requires that you have a specific skill which you can pass to someone else. Specifically I am talking about creating an ebook for money where you try to teach someone a specific skill or technique which you have an authority on.
I know that for many of you finding a specific skill that you can sell could be quite difficult as it is not going to be immediately apparent to everyone. Still do believe we all have something to offer and the Internet offers a unique opportunity for anyone regardless of location age or experience to expound a little wisdom in exchange for some money. The good thing about the books is that there is no set price it can cost whatever you think it is worth. I’ve seen ebooks go for as much as $200 and as little as $5 which is quite a difference. I know that writing isnt for everyone but a good blogging guide can always help if you get stuck.
The most important thing about creating an ebook for money is to write something that other people can sell for you. ClickBank is a famous marketplace for digital products including ebooks where you can pay affiliates commission for selling your ebook to their website traffic. Obviously some markets in the ebook business are worth more than others but if you do find the right one you can make a killing. As always research research research
Create content from home for money?
Jul 13th
This idea may be a little specialised for some as writing content is often thought of one of those things that you can either do or not. However I do believe that with time and especially practice that anyone can write at least a half decent article that will be worth some money. As with everything below the quality of your writing will have a big bearing on how much you can make. There are essentially two different routes you can take when it comes to writing content for money.
- 1. You can contact blogger or other website who needs content directly and offer to create content for them as a set rate. This can work quite well as there is no middle man to take commission on your work. Also it’s great to build up a relationship with a single client who can offer you a steady stream of work. It can be difficult than ever to find sites that you essentially just e-mailing random people.
- 2. Another option is to go with the freelance site such as www.Elance.com or www.odesk.com where employers may post jobs that they require. It’s worth noting that the kind of jobs posted on these freelance sites are often very low paid (especially the content writing one’s).
There are also a few specific agency websites which I can’t remember at the minute which deal exclusively in creating large amounts of content of various qualities for websites. I cant say I have used any of the services myself however I am used to creating large amount of content and I can say that it has both pros and cons. It is also practised skill and something you will get better at overtime as you develop your own unique writing style. As I mentioned at the start the amount of money can make contrary from $.01-$.10 per word and how much you can produce will have a big effect too.
Ever tried the survey thing? Did it work for you?
Jul 13th
This post is going to be more of a question for you guys to me just talking lol. Have any of you ever used these survey sites? You probably know the ones I’m talking about when they say they can make up to $75 per hour just by filling out surveys online which I know probably sounds too good to be true. Just from looking at a few of the offers have seen so far one of the main factors that keeps popping up is that you can win a prize or will be entered into a draw with other people a chance to win something i.e. it doesn’t sound like you’re actually going to get anything for filling out the survey.
Don’t get me wrong this may not be true of all surveys but it seems to be a common theme whereby the money you’re promised that the start becomes hard to find by the end of the process. Another thing which have noticed is that there often seems to be quite strict criteria on who can fill out the survey. Usually it comes down to what country you’re living in but more often than not the age and income can be big factors on whether you get accepted or not. I remain to be convinced however so if any of you guys have had success filling out an on-line surveys for money then please let me know…
Get paid to play WarCraft?
Jul 13th
This may sound a little silly to most of you but this idea has been around for quite a while and am always a big fan of ideas that have been proven. Gold farming is something that most of you probably not have heard of but essentially it involves collecting items and tokens inside popular online games such as warcraft and everquest which he then sell on later to play as either don’t want to or don’t have the time to collect the items themselves.
The activity is very popular in developing countries such as China where they pay large numbers of people to save online all day completing menial tasks inside the game. I have to admit it doesn’t sound like much fun but then again if you do you like these kind of games then it could be an easy way to make some extra cash as they are only growing more and more in popularity.
One point to note though is that the game makers are often very reluctant to have these kinds of players online after all they are not actively participating in the spirit of the game. Still it may be worth a look…
Does anyone make money off Youtube?
Jul 13th
One thing I wanted to talk about today is that it is possible to make money from the popular video sharing website YouTube. Now making money may not be the first thing that pops into your head when you think about the visiting this site but with the right skills is very possible. YouTube recently opened a partner program where they pay you a percentage of all advertising revenue on your video page. It’s worth noting over the internal YouTube’s traffic is not high value due to the demographics involved. However at the same time it is possible to get huge amount of visitors to certain videos if they go viral.
I suppose the main point to note is that your video needs to have a kind of snowball effect on people keep passing on to their friends and eventually you have the top 100 are so videos or even make the homepage. The key as you can guess is volume because of the low quality of traffic. One problem that some people may have is getting the video off the ground i.e. that 1000 are so initial views. One way to overcome this may be to pay for the initial traffic that you receive. I’ve never used this kind of service myself but I have heard that you can purchase up to 10,000 initial views are quite cheaply. Have any of you guys tried this out? If so let me know how it goes.
Whats the deal with making money on the internet?
Jul 13th
So I wanted to talk a little bit today about how to make money online which I suppose is appropriate given this is my first post. First and most important thing to note is that there are a lot of different ways to make money on the Internet and for many people this is the most difficult thing to grasp. However hopefully with this blog I will help you to understand a few of the techniques that I have used with success.
One of the main points I will try to get across is a huge range of activities are available. For example there are many jobs which you might consider manual labour data entry and content creation which can be very work intensive but also at the same time create a guaranteed income. It’s no surprise that more and more people are turning to the Internet in these times of economic hardship as I believe it is one of the best opportunities for people to diversify their skill set.
I have to admit I haven’t give you any groundbreaking moneymaking ideas yet but I don’t want to give away the big secret right at the very start. So stay tuned..
